If you have recently bought or already having an android phone; then have you ever felt that file browsing or data transfer speed is relative low as it should be in high profile android phones. So have you ever wonder for a way to get it resolved… I recently came across an article ad XDA Developers that they have designed an application to tweak out the sd flash ram performances.
As the reason mentioned for slow file transfer is that because of cache size is less be default which is 128Kb and the tweak works out by fixing this value to 2048kb, making read-write on our external memory faster.
Developers at XDA forums have made a app which tweaks the cache size of Android file system for faster SD card access. SD Speed Increase changes parameter in a file system (thus requires Root access) that manages the size of the cache on the memory card.
Open the app, it will ask for superuser permissions. On granted, Main screen shows a slider which on moving changes the cache size. It is recommended to make it 2048 KB and press the orange logo to set.
This setting changes automatically after reboot so, check the box infront of Set Every Boot so that this changes are applied after every boot.
Personally, I found this app very useful for optimizing the performance of Android by having faster Gallery Photo browsing and App Loading.
Download Speed Increase from Android Market.
