Ping is one of the very interesting and important to determine the incoming connection from a TCP/IP Networks IP address and is very useful to determine the connection issues… but sometime this command fails to work properly.
“ping is not recognized as an internal or external command” this is the message displayed when executed via run menu… to get overcome to this error just try these options…
1. Instead of using this command first you should open the Command Prompt option and make sure it is running properly… if there is a problem running command prompt then trying copying cmd.exe from any other pc in folder C:\Windows\System32. Only cmd.exe is the required important file while others (if any) are spyware.
2. To check for those files go to Tools-> Folder Opions-> View-> tick on Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files and folders. If the other files are present delete them.
3. Also make sure that there are the two required files named “ipconfig.exe” and “ping.exe” in the system 32 folder. If not then copy the files from other PC and paste them there.
Let me know the result.
