In a very significant move from the Indian Catering and Tourism Corporation that is has rescheduled its online booking of Railway Tickets. Earlier the online booking only start after the 8.00 am in the morning but now it has shifted to 12.30 am in the midnight (You can find this info in the below picture published on the IRCTC website).
This move is bound to provide relief to all those who have to struggle for booking tickets under the tatkal system as by the time it’s their turn, all tickets under the quota get exhausted. There are claims that most of these were booked by agents who later sell it at a percentage to passengers. Now this move will sure benefit a lot who use IRCTC services to book their railway tickets under tatkal quota from their computers at home.
But the question now arises, really such move will help the people in need. Still today most of the people in India are not aware of the online banking account or how they can book tickets online. Wouldn’t this help much more the booking agents to cash more from the people in need…
