This application is called miniMIZE…. as the name suggests is used to minimize the running application but in different way. First it captured the active screens of the applications and then puts a small thumbnail over the desktop as shown below.

You can also use the hotkeys to cycle through the thumbnails, minimize all windows and show/hide thumbnails. This tool is quite small and doesn’t require huge memory… but unfortunately it only tends to work on windows xp being still in beta stage.
