If you have to share your pc with so many poeple whether at home or at the work area, then you may have found that it is always a bit risky being online. As being a shared PC you it give access what you do online or password if you have saved any, to anyone wanted, thus unfolding all your privacy…. Now what to do?
Actually if you are using Mozilla Firefox then you can get rid of all such problems by creating user profiles With these profiles in use each user will have his own profile and thus all the history, bookmarks and saved passwords can be kept different for different users. You can also password protect these profiles and keep your login information and history safe from others and have much more privacy.
Now how to create user profiles in Mozilla Firefox?
1)Start the firefox profile manager by running an argument “—profilemanager”
with firefox.exe.You can do this through the command prompt.
“C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe –profilemanager”
2)Create a new profile from the profile manager.
3)Create a firefox shortcut on desktop and right click the shortcut icon and take properties.Append -P profilename
to the end of the “target” as shown in the figure.(here the profile name is renjuwork)
4)Click Ok and use this shortcut to access that Firefox profile.
So firefox.exe -P default
launches the Firefox using the default profile; and firefox.exe -P profilename
starts up the newly created profile.
Even though this was a very useful feature we have with Firefox, but, now sadly it has been removed from the latest magnificent ver. 4…. so for many users it is like a disappointment… but if you are still using the version prior to 4 then you can enjoy this service…
