Adobe Photoshop is a very expensive software and any one have to think twice before going for it. But consider a situation what if you got some files created in Photoshop and want to edit them…. is there any solution available to view and edit in any alternate software…. for free.
If you are looking for such a solution then may be the following software Paint.net could be a very helpful solution. This is a free to use application does not consume much memory so a easy solution…. but to edit a .psd file via paint.net you need to install a plugin called psdplugin… of-course it is also free.
So now first download and install Paint.NET from the link here….
Now final step download psdplugin, unzip and copy the PhotoShop.dll to the “FileTypes” folder in the Paint.NET directory. By default it should be in C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\FileTypes.
Now enjoy working with .psd files even if you don’t have Photoshop installed.
