Do you know even when you don’t have any running program there are a lot of small programs tends to run in the background in which some are the essential part of the Windows, but some of them even useless for an average user. One sch program I found Java Quick Start (jqs.exe) running in the background which is used to improve the startup time of java applications by buffering the Java run time Libraries frequently in the memory.
But there are only few users who are supposed to frequently dealt with java programs with in windows so most of the time it is a waste application dumping around 1.5 mbs of system ram and 2mbs virtual memory. So now what? Disable it save a valuable ram if your system is in low in resources. Know how…
So to disable it
Right click on ‘my computer’ and then select Manage, from there look for services and management, expand it and choose services.
Now from the right window look for ‘Java Quick Start’ and right click over it and click on Properties. From the next window change ‘Startup Type’ to ‘disabled’ select apply or ok then right click on it again and click on ’stop’.
From now on no JQS.exe will be there to irritate you…. Hop you like the post don’t forget to subscribe
