You got a mail in your gmail account but after reading it you found it of no use and deleted it but have you ever noticed whenever you delete any mail you are sent back to the Inbox. So if you have got several junk mails already in your account then reading deleting and then again looking in inbox can cause you to irritate. But Now you can customize Gmail in a way to automatically open next email message conversation instead of going back to inbox window.
To do so
1. Open Gmail inbox and goto Settings > Labs.
2. Under Labs window, click ‘enable’ next to ‘Auto-advance’ option. Then click ‘Save Changes’ button at the bottom.
3. Now goto ‘General’ tab on Settings page and look for ‘Auto Advance’ settings’.
4. You can select either of following option (after archiving, deleting, muting, etc. a conversation).
- Go to the next (newer) conversation
- Go to the previous (older) conversation
- Go back to the thread list
So from the above task now you can skip automatically shifting to your inbox whenever you perform above mentioned tasks.
